Best Colombian restaurant in London without a doubt. Lalo and his team are great, friendly and offer excellent service. The food they serve is simply delicious, portions are generous and prices are reasonable. The atmosphere is lively with a traditional and salsa music playing in the background. When I'm in London I always go eat there as it never disappoints. Totally recommended!!!
If you’re looking to try authentic Colombian food, El Rancho de Lalo is a great pick. The portions are very generous, full of flavour, and the vibe is casual and welcoming. Great value for what you get! Also worth noting — the menu is partly halal, which is super helpful. Definitely recommend the bandeja paisa or fried fish with plantain. Will be back to explore more of the menu!
Love the vibe in this place, it's lively yet homely because of the delicious comfort food. The dessert looks simple but it was everything. The staff are very friendly and attentive eventhough it was so busy. I'll definetly be eating here again
This was my introduction to Colombian food and it did not disappoint. It was good to see a queue of hispanic people since I knew we were in the right place. Any meat lovers, this is the place. Every item was amazing. And I would also recommend trying the empanadas here. The only thing I didn’t like was the arepa cause it was dry. I dipped it into the beans but I think it’s just not my thing.
Authentic Colombian food in a modern setting. If you don't know what to try, have the Typical plate of Antioquia, Bandeja Paisa.. oh and some Empenadas..
Having lived for 3 years in Colombia and heard about el Rancho, I took my 14 years old son for a nice lunch there too celebrate mother's day. We didn't book but we were lucky as it was almost full. We loved the food and staff were really attentive, like colonial people are always!!!! Gracias!!!!! Volveremos!!!!
Amazing food and excellent service - really reasonably priced too! Would 100% recommend. Special shout out to the waitress who was able to help with my Spanish!
A true authentic restaurant. You feel the culture immediately you enter. Very friendly staff. Jean Paul and Gabriela were great in helping recommend national dishes and drinks. They were attentive and great vibes. The kitchen staff (sorry I didn't get their names) were all smiles and prepared amazing food. The food is value for money: the portion sizes are incredible, the food is filling, tasty, and the drinks are freshly homemade. I highly recommend it if you wish to try something new and if you appreciate value for money in a great atmosphere. Food: Empanada - shared one between two people. Very filling but so tasty. Easily could have had more but would not have finished the main Bandeja Paisa - National dish, best of all worlds, must try dish Carne A La Brasa - again, must try dish Drinks: Lulo - Not a fan of Kiwi, but this drink made me want to specifically find Colombian Kiwis and stock up at home Mora - Fresh blackberry juice made with water (can be made with milk), tasted great! Peppermint Tea - Decent sized cup
